British Mountaineering Council Community

Having completed a successful redesign of the main BMC site and eCommerce portal, we were commisioned with the task of creating a community for existing members to share up-to-date relevant information with each other.

This platform also provides us with a captive audience to which we can cross-sell official BMC products, relevant climbing equipment and the BMC's own insurance service specifically targetted towards climbers and hillwalkers. A full eCommerce solution and Insurance module were also designed and developed by us to make this transition from site to site completely seamless and intuitive for users.

In addition to the exploratory work we are undertaking with the BMC using social media, we are continuing to develop the core website and are looking to introduce full personalisation for the next release, linking together with the existing Community user profiles system to create a more relevant user-experience in terms of news and information.
